Product Overview
The O-ring is used to prevent the leakage of vapors from Breathing Circuit Gas (BCG) in an anesthesia delivery machine. A common cause of vapor leakage is an absent or damaged O-ring. This O-rings is used in Anesthetic Gas Scavenging Systems (AGSS) Active Low Flow Breathing Circuit Gas (BCG) with Diameter Index Safety System (DISS) Connector by eliminating leakage of gases. It is the most common type of seal used in a wide range of static or dynamic applications. It is seated in a groove and it is compressed between two or more parts to create an excellent seal. It is generally made of rubber due to which it returns to its original shape upon compression. The O-ring is made up of highly abrasive and flexible Ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) material. It acts as an excellent leak barrier for medical equipment. Ethylene propylene rubber is a type of synthetic elastomer that is closely related to EPDM rubber.
