Product Overview
The Cable Alphanumeric Keyboard is used in the operator panel of ultrasound devices. The alphanumeric keyboard is connected to USB HUB, which in turn is connected to the display interface. The alphanumeric keyboard is situated on a drawer under the control panel. The operator panel is a complex user interaction device with several sub devices. This includes a trackball with buttons, an alphanumeric keyboard, a custom keyboard, and a touch panel overlay. The user can edit the actual text in the examination list window using the alphanumeric keyboard and by inserting pre-defined text input. The connection between operator main control board and alphanumeric keyboard which is mounted in a separate drawer is provided with the help of a cable. The cable has a 12 Volt USB link for the keyboard backlight and an external ground wire for Electro-Static Discharge (ESD). The 21 inch cable consists of 24 AWG soldered black wires with a connector housing termination at both the ends. It includes heat shrink reliefs at both the ends. The cable is provided with ESD grounding which helps to prevent build up static electricity and to safely ground a person working with the device. It is being used in Vivid q, Venue 40, CT LightSpeed 3.X Ultra 8-Slice and UL Vivid E9, among others.
