Product Overview

This grease fitting is also known as grease nipple, Zerk fitting, or Alemite fitting. It is a metal fitting made up of steel and is commonly used in mechanical systems to feed lubricants, usually lubricating grease, into a bearing under moderate to high pressure using a grease gun. This grease fitting comes with a metric size M6 thread through which it can be installed permanently on a threaded assembly leaving a nipple connection that a grease gun attaches to. The nipple has a 90 degree angle which occupies less space and aids in easy attachment of grease gun during maintenance activity. The fitting has the common convex shape of the fitting which allows the concave tip of the grease gun to seal against the fitting easily from many angles, yet with a sufficiently tight seal to force the pressured grease to move the ball and enter the fitting, rather than simply oozing past this temporary annular (ring-shaped) seal. This grease fitting can be used in various lubrication demanding assemblies of GE's Molecular Imaging and Nuclear Medicine systems.
